1885 25C PR66 NGC. Occasionally the difference between proof quarters and halves from the 1880s and prooflike circulation strikes can be a subtle one. That is not the case with this coin. The fields are exceptionally deep and highly reflective on each side. Teal and rose toning is seen on the obverse, while the reverse has a light, even golden patina. An exceptional proof striking of this low-mintage date. From The Fleur Wales-Baillie Collection.
