Canadian Silver Maple Leaf
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is a large one troy ounce silver bullion coin made of .999 fine silver. It is minted by the Canadian Royal Mint and issued annually by the government of Canada since 1988. There is a five Canadian dollar face value which is the highest among international silver bullion coins. During 2008, the market value of the silver coin was approximately twenty Canadian dollars. The market value in 2011 was above thirty Canadian dollars. The coin always features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain and a maple leaf. There are three different versions, a young head version, an old head version, and an older head version. There have been over seventy five million coins minted and they are often collected by date and other varieties like the coins that they actually are. We buy and sell Canadian silver maple leafs and most other silver bullion coins.
